We all love attending that weekend events market with local small shops all showcasing their goods for you to all see, but sadly we did not get to have that experience this year. Everything shifted to virtual, and while it was great for awhile, people grew tired of not being able to physically feel or touch a product, or purchase something and be able to take it home with them same day.
Mom Market Collective
At the Mom Market Collective, myself from the Niagara division specifically, was able to offer a virtual platform to help showcase these struggling and hardworking small businesses to help the community learn about new shops and to help support where they could.
Shift to now, as we are currently entering into phase 2 of our reopening plan, and we can now begin to safely host our in person markets once again for the community to come out and support many more small shops. Furthermore, we are again able to support new venues that have had to keep their doors closed for such a long period of time.
We absolutely love spreading the community love around Niagara, and helping to support businesses; and it’s a lot easier to do than many may think. We made a pact last year that we would try and support small local shops as best as we could for Christmas gifts, and so many small shops grew immensely from this community out pour of love and support!

We are very excited to be popping up at over 5 new venues this year, and help support over 500+ small businesses in the process! How can you help you may ask? Come and out and visit us! You do not need to spend money to help support our cause –simply attending, telling a friend, or even sharing a shops products on your social media for your friends and family to see all go so far for the small business community.

How the Mom Market Niagara Gives Back
We love giving back to our community as well! As a thank you for their continued support of attending our markets, sharing their purchases and so much more, we always give away goodies! We either do 25 swag bags at the start of the market, or grand prize draws, or giveaways on our social media, and more! Plus, we have started a new community giveback program! We have started selling customized bracelets where ALL proceeds are being donated to the Elisha House In Welland who helps families dealing with family crisis issues, unexpected pregnancies or just in need of support. We are also working on a community giveback clean-up program. Where we will have 20 different vendors each month apply to help us clean up a new area of Niagara, 1-2 a month! We always love giving back to our community that gives us so much in return.
